The air is getting cooler and crisper, and the days are getting shorter...sure signs that fall is here! At PartyLights.com, we have so many great ways to bring on those fall colors, whether you’re adding new lights or making seasonal changes. Either way, we have options that suit any decor and will help add cozy and colorful fall ambiance to your yard and porch!
Enhance Fall Garland & Wreaths
Garlands and wreaths aren’t just for the Christmas holidays … they’re also a great way to feature beautiful fall leaf colors both inside and outside your home.
Start with a garland draping the front porch railing or around the front door, then add some eye-catching lights to really draw attention. LED mini lights in red, orange and yellow are a great way to add extra illumination to garlands. LED mini lights come in an array of bulb sizes and shapes that can be matched to your garland. Polka dot mini lights are small and subtle, making them perfect for little pops of color. G12 small globes look light small lit berries or seeds and are the ideal addition to a leafy fall garland.

Leafy fall wreaths are another way to mark the changing of the seasons. Wreaths are a great way to welcome guests when hung from your front door. Adding battery-powered lights are a great solution to decor where an outlet may not be accessible. Battery-operated lights in red, or fairy lights in yellow or red are the perfect accents to fall colored leaves! Even white battery-operated lights highlight a big, colorful fall wreath.

Decorate Trees & Bushes
Fall is all about the warm earthy colors of autumn leaves. Reds, yellows, oranges - even purples - are blazing in the trees and on the ground this time of year. But when the sun goes down, you can keep those colors in your yard with strategic lighting. Wrapping trees and decorating bushes (just like for Christmas) adds colorful accents now that the sun is setting earlier and earlier in the evening.
Wrapping trees with polka dot mini lights provide color and illumination in a subtle way that doesn’t emphasize the bulb itself. Polka dot lights have very small bulbs, but thanks to their concave shape, they cast bright lighting with a low-profile look. Alternate strings of yellow, orange, and red polka dot lights on different trees, or mix and match them on the same tree for a more varied look.

For bushes, you can use polka dot lights as well, but larger G12 LED lights also make a bold statement. The mini globe shape gives the appearance of lit up berries. For a bolder look, the larger LED C6 lights provide a mini bulb shape with even more light. Mix together bulbs of different colors on the same string - yellow, orange, and red - for an eye-catching display!
Complement Rustic & Nostalgic Decor
Rustic or nostalgic decor is especially popular this time of year … think wagon wheels, barn wood signs, and old ladders. While these items make attractive displays or decor on their own, lights help to emphasize featured items and make them more visible with the earlier sunsets and throughout the evening.
A vintage milk jug filled with dried grasses and fall-colored flowers looks great all day when you add just a few warm white globe mini lights to brighten it up after dark. Likewise, a wagon wheel wrapped with LED mini lights on a patio or porch can make your whole fall display visible well into the evening.

Rustic painted signs are very popular right now, including pieces that you’ve made yourself. You can let your handiwork really shine with a bit of subtle lighting. Add strings of yellow or red fairy lights intertwined with dried vine to add a little extra “pop” to your fall-themed artwork!

Illuminate Porches & Entryways
Sometimes the best way to enhance your fall decor is simply to add lighting to your existing architectural features. Framing and lighting your home entryway casts just enough light to illuminate pumpkins, corn stalks, wreathes or other decor.

The options here are wide open! For a display that adds subtle lighting to your display, LED mini lights in fall colors may be all the enhancement you need. Or choose from a wide array of LED flameless candles to give a very simple and classic look that’s safe and convenient and which also looks cozy and inviting for the cool evenings. Our pillar candles have the added convenience of a programmable timer so your candles will turn on by themselves every night.

If you have a more elaborate display, more bold lighting selections might be a great choice. Fall colored string lights or regular globe patio lights provide more lighting to drape along a porch railing. Larger displays can handle more lighting … let your neighbors and guests see your handiwork!
