*The key differences between the two cord options are the 14-gauge cord allows you to run longer lengths (see "Max Run" below). The 14- and 18-gauge cords have an extra layer of weather resistant insulation (SJTW wire type). The benefit to the 16-gauge cord is it's robust enough for commercial use but light enough for easy installation (about 1/2 the weight of the 14-gauge wire). All provide heavy-duty construction and weatherproof sockets for year-round outdoor use. Areas with extremely fluctuating weather conditions should consider the 14-or 18-gauge; the 16-gauge still works well if being installed under protected areas (e.g., covered areas, under eaves, etc.)

Product Details:

• For indoor or outdoor use. Suitable for permanent outdoor installation.
• High quality PVC sockets form a snug, weather‐resistant seal around the bulb. You must keep a bulb in every socket to maintain weatherproof quality.
• Cords with standard UL588 for wet location intended for all-year use. Cord safety rating is void if product is cut.
• For IP ratings, interconnected strings must be properly sealed and strain relief protected with electrical tape at each connection point.
• Keep bulbs/sockets at least 16 feet away from pools and spas.
• Install with sockets facing downward.
• Assembly required. Bulbs will need to be screwed in. 
• For spans longer than 20 feet (14-gauge cord) or 25 feet (16- or 18-gauge), use a steel cable guide wire.
